Takashi Ishii started off as a manga writer, penning such popular manga as the Angel Guts series before writing the screenplays in their film adaptations which also led to his first work as a director, 1988's Angel Guts: Red Vertigo. He notably also wrote the screenplays to some of Japan's most famous cult films Love Hotel (Shinji Somai, 1985), Scent of A Spell (Toshiharu Ikeda, 1985), Evil Dead Trap (Toshiharu Ikeda, 1988) as well as directing many successful and highly regarded films such as Gonin (1995), Black Angel (1998) and Freeze Me (2000) to name a few. Takashi Ishii passed away in 2022.

This box set contains 4 films featuring new HD masters from the late Japanese director, writer and manga artist Takashi Ishii, filmed over a 2 year period from 1992-1994 and all focusing on the lead character of 'Nami'.

DISC ONE: Alone in the Night 夜がまた来る (1994)

Nami, the wife of a narcotics cop murdered in the line of duty, is surprised to find that her husband has been accused of involvement in organized crime.
